The Honorable Fredrick H. Muller

Iokwe and welcome to the Ministry of Resources and Development.

Our overarching mission is to promote sustainable development and to improve the livelihood and well-being of the Marshallese people. We carry out this mission via numerous programs, projects, and partnerships.

As you will see by browsing through this website, our Ministry's mandate spans wide and deep. Our work covers everything from agriculture to energy to trade. We are also responsible for investment, tourism, quarantine and marine resources.

Notwithstanding our wide mandate, we maintain a strong focus on our vision for the future of the RMI. We envision a country with a physically active population that grows and consumes healthy local foods. We envision a growing economy that provides jobs and opportunities to all. And we envision a nation whose development co-exists with the environment and our traditional lifestyles.

We developed this website as a means to improve access to basic information and to better convey our mission and how and why we carry out our work. This site was developed locally using basic web technology and will thus be easier to maintain and manage by our own staff. If there are any improvements that you might want to recommend, please do not hesitate to contact us.
